The Relic Collector Challenge

Pack Required: Jungle Adventure, optional, Businesses and Hobbies

Concept: Focus on the archaeology and excavation aspect of the pack. Your Sim’s goal is to find the most valuable, rare, and (maybe) cursed relics.

• Setup:
  • This is a single Sim challenge.
  • Create a Sim with the “Archaeology Scholar” aspiration and “Geek” trait.
  • Start them on a lot with just the archaeology table and enough money to buy a few excavation sites and a tent (Rags to Riches style). OR
  • If you have Businesses and Hobbies, set them up in a starter home/WFH with the archaeology table and enough money to go on a 2-day vacation to Selvadorada and begin your adventure from there.
  • Set money to zero once you arrive.
  • They are a dedicated treasure hunter who lives and breathes for the dig.
• The Rules:
  • The challenge begins when they get to Selvadorada.
  • They must spend the entire time digging for artefacts, going on expeditions, and analysing what they find.
  • You can extend your vacation as many times as money will allow.
  • You can only sell non-relic items from your inventory to survive, and not anything that you dig up or find in the temples. (example, frogs, fossils, harvestables (be careful, some are necessary for the challenge!)).
  • The goal is to find and display a specific number of high-value or rare artefacts on their lot. OR
  • They can only sell the relics from their inventory at the end to see how much they made from their hard work. OR
  • You can purchase a Kiosk from Businesses and Hobbies, open an Artefact Exhibition, and sell your finds this way to see how much you can make.
  • You may not go back to Selvadorada to restock the business.
• The Goal: The challenge ends when you’ve made at least 40,000 Simoleons from your finds, or, when your house is fully decorated with the treasures you have unearthed, or, you have sold every item in your Artefact Exhibition business.
• Optional: Set yourself a timer within which to complete the challenge.

This is a relaxed and fulfilling challenge, perfect for chill gameplay, but not without the potential for mayhem. I hope you enjoy it.
